PRAGUE WORKSHOP

Due to the success we have achieved in Central Europe last season winning the Czech Derby, Slovak Gold Cup and 2^nd in the Italian Leger with a Czech trained horse, sourced by Actionhorse we have organised a one day workshop in Prague to further promote Irish Horses. A small number of prominent Irish Companies will also attend the event which the Irish Embassy has very kindly offered to host. We plan to have details of Irish horses for sale, particularly in-foal mares and National Hunt horses. If you require further information on promoting your horse at this event please let us know.

Big Day for Actionhorse in Prague

Actionhorse had a very successful afternoon in Prague yesterday 18/09/2011 when both Leo Gali and Roches Cross won.

Yesterday was the first time for Roches Cross to take on the older horses and he won in style by 2 lengths, proving his versatility as this was over a mile (having previously won the Czech Derby). The same race last year was won by Corcovada, another Actionhorse sourced horse, who was subsequently crowned Champion 3yo filly and Champion overall miler at the end of 2010 Season awards. Leo Gali (by Gallileo) had previously won the Slovak Gold Cup.

Half-sisters to Champion Hurdle winners

Actionhorse/Edward Daly Bloodstock had a number of interesting transactions during July. We completed the deal for a half sister to the reigning Champion Hurdler HURRICANE FLY. She is currently being transport back to the Emerald Isle.

Earlier in the month, through our French partner we sourced a half-sister to the ’08 Champion Hurdle winner KATCHIT , for a long standing client of Edward Daly Bloodstock.

It is a remarkable coincidence that both these transactions, which were totally unconnected took place within a couple of weeks of each other

Roches Cross won the Czech Derby

Last November through our Central European Agent Janda Bloodstock we were asked to have a look around for a horse which might compete in the Czech Derby. We recommended the purchase of Roches Cross to Staj Jasna, a client of Mr. Josef Vana. When trained by Jim Bolger Roches Cross, by Whipper won his maiden in Listowel, beating the Kevin Prendergast trained Tis The Shot, both colts having their first start. Yesterday was Derby Day in Prague which Roches Cross won by three parts of a length. Roches Cross had already won the Guineas trial in Prague and was beaten a head in the Guineas itself. He followed this up with a convincing win in the Derby trial. Actionhorse was represented by Edward Daly, whose long standing business relations with Jim Bolger enabled us to buy the colt.
